OUR CHAIRMAN

Shri Aurobindo Bhowmick, an astute Banker of repute, deputed from

our Sponsor bank i.e. Bank Of India, has taken over as Chairman of Baitarani Gramya Bank w.e.f. 7th July 2011.

Shri Bhowmick was born on 5th Dec 1954. He was an UGC scholarship holder during his post graduation at GBPUA & T Pantnagar. He was also Institute scholarship holder of IIT, Kharagpur during the period of undergoing Post Graduate Diploma in Soil Technology. He holds degree from BHU, GBPUA&T and IIT, Kharagpur.

Shri Bhowmick joined Bank Of India in Oct 1981 as an officer and worked at various branches of rural, semi urban, urban and metro area, regional office, Lead District Office, Zonal Office and Head Office covering 5 states, 7 zones stretching from North, East and Western part of the country.


	The Bank has opened its 105th CBS branch at Baghra Road, Baripada on 26th Dec 2011. The branch has been inaugurated by Sri Akshay Rout, Director General, Election Commission of India. The branch distinguishes itself as All Women Branch.

	NEFT has been introduced in all the 104 branches w.e.f. 1st Dec 2011. The IFSC Code remains “ BKID0BAITGB” for all branches. ATM facility is to be introduced soon.

	Bank's 106th Branch has been opened at Poda Astia . Sri K K Gupta, Chief General Manager, NABARD, Bhubaneswar has formally inaugurated the branch on 27th January 2012.

	The Bank has opened its 108th branch at Mahuldiha ( Rairangpur ) on 22nd March 2012 in Mayurbhanj District.

	The Bank will be opening six new branches shortly.

	Bank has adopted " ANIAPAL" as its first Pilot Model village in Kuchei GP under Chandua block.

	Bank's 109th Branch has been opened at Kundala in Keonjhar District on 18th May 2012.
